**About the Role:** Strategic Highway Delivery Officer

We're seeking a highly experienced Strategic Highway Delivery Officer to join our team. In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering strategic highway maintenance projects, ensuring that our city's roads and infrastructure are safe and well-maintained.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of highway maintenance practices, including road resurfacing, patching work, road markings, highway drainage, winter maintenance, and preventative maintenance. Proven experience in project managing similar work and excellent communication skills are essential.

This role requires a high level of autonomy, with the ability to work independently and make informed decisions. You'll work closely with the team to ensure successful project delivery and contribute to the development of strategies for effective highway maintenance.

The role involves site work, and occasional out-of-hours supervision may be required, with enhancements payable. A valid UK driving licence is necessary, and you will be required to use your own vehicle for which mileage is paid, and a parking pass provided.

You'll receive a competitive salary of £42,000 - £47,000 per annum, flexible working, flexitime, membership of the Local Government Pension scheme, and a generous annual leave allowance.
