About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Life Actuarial Senior Manager to join our team at BDO UK. As a key member of our Insurance Group, you will provide expert guidance on a wide range of Life Actuarial issues, including assurance services, external and internal audit, corporate governance and risk advisory, regulatory advisory, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical actuarial expertise to clients, including assurance services, external and internal audit, and corporate governance
  • Lead and manage a team of actuaries, providing guidance and oversight on their work
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes, ensuring our clients are compliant and well-advised
  • Collaborate with other teams within BDO UK to deliver a comprehensive range of services to our clients
Requirements
  • Significant insurance actuarial experience and a qualified Life insurance actuary
  • Strong technical actuarial knowledge and a high standard of IT literacy
  • Influencing skills, both internally and externally
  • Experience with delegation and overseeing/reviewing the work of student actuaries
  • Ability to meet deadlines and strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong organisational, communication, and presentation skills
