About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Director to join our team at BDO UK. As a key member of our Financial Services business unit, you will be responsible for providing actuarial advice and services to a portfolio of clients within the insurance industry.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering growth and business development, as well as experience of leading and developing teams. You will be well-versed in actuarial issues, including reserving, Solvency II technical provisions, and capital calculations. Additionally, you will have excellent communication and presentation skills, and be able to manage and deliver concurrent projects at any one time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide actuarial advice and services to clients within the insurance industry
  • Grow the portfolio through business development activities
  • Lead and develop a team of actuarial professionals
  • Manage and deliver concurrent projects
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
