About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Support Worker to join our team at Peabody. As a Youth Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 16-17 who are in need of guidance and care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide practical and emotional support to young people, helping them to regain their independence and achieve their goals.
  • Work closely with external services to ensure that young people receive the best possible support and care.
  • Conduct regular welfare checks and update support plans as necessary.
  • Manage a group of young residents with complex needs, offering them the support and guidance they need to thrive.
  • Establish consistent, trusting relationships with young people, ensuring they feel secure and supported.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with teenagers aged 16-17.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and trauma-informed principles.
  • Ability to work autonomously and navigate challenging situations.
