Job Title: Youth Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Support Worker to join our team at Peabody. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 16-17 who are in need of guidance and care.

About the Role:
  • Provide hands-on support to residents, including regular welfare checks and administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with external services to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
  • Manage a group of young residents with complex needs, offering practical and emotional support to help them regain their independence.
  • Establish consistent, trusting relationships with residents, ensuring they feel secure and supported.
  • Work autonomously, navigating and defusing difficult situations to prevent escalation.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working with teenagers aged 16-17.
  • Experience of managing challenging behaviour.
  • Knowledge or experience of safeguarding and trauma-informed principles.
