Overview:
Glu Recruit is in search of a seasoned paraplanner with a commitment to a long-term career. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in pensions and retirement planning, dedicated to assisting individuals in achieving a secure and comfortable retirement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed financial research and analysis utilizing tools such as Selectapension and FE Analytics.
  • Generate thorough financial reports with Genovo report writing software.
  • Verify and review information provided by administrative staff for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with the administrative team to collect missing information and support business submissions as needed.
  • Employ the Intelliflo back office system for effective client management and record-keeping.
  • Evaluate and recommend various investment options, including ISAs and general investment accounts.
  • Question advisers on file notes or recommendations that may not be suitable.
  • Communicate with the compliance team regarding any concerns about the suitability of advice provided.

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience as a paraplanner within the financial services sector, particularly in pensions and retirement planning.
  • In-depth understanding of UK pension regulations and products.
  • Proficient in using Intelliflo, Selectapension, FE Analytics, and Genovo software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements in the financial services industry.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant financial planning qualifications (e.g., Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning) – experience is prioritized, and support for examination materials and initial exams will be provided.
