About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Employment Advisor to join our team at Mental Health Matters. As an Employment Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients in improving their work situation and its impact on their mental health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support clients in improving their work situation and its impact on their mental health
  • Work alongside therapists in delivering an integrated package of person-centred care for clients
  • Complete CV reviews, mock interviews, and deliver assertiveness training
  • Liaise with the Job Centre Plus, advocate on behalf of clients with their employer, and build relationships with community groups
Requirements
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to explore different perspectives
  • Organizational skills and adaptability in a varied workload
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients, peers, and supervisor
  • Empathy and ability to identify barriers and understand client needs
  • Keenness to develop and learn new skills and knowledge
