Senior Engineer in Modelling and Simulation at Stirling Dynamics

Stirling Dynamics is in search of an experienced Senior Engineer in Modelling and Simulation to enhance the Simulation, Dynamics, and Control capability group. The ideal candidate will possess over a decade of professional experience in modelling and analytical processes within the aerospace and marine sectors. This position provides a chance to engage in innovative projects focusing on aerodynamics, vehicle dynamics, and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement methodologies for multi-system models
  • Oversee technical projects related to actuator and motor control
  • Perform dynamic loads and aeroelastic assessments
  • Work collaboratively with the team on aerodynamics and thermal modelling initiatives

Required Qualifications:

A degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics
Proficiency with modelling software such as Matlab/Simulink, Ansys, Nastran, among others
Demonstrated success in development projects within aerospace or marine sectors

  • Professionalism and confidentiality
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • Experience managing multiple competing priorities

Professional Experience:

  • 10+ years in aerospace and marine fields
  • Practical modelling experience across various technical domains
  • Experience leading technical projects and managing teams
  • Familiarity with standards such as ARP4754 and DO178

Compensation and Benefits:

Grade 6-7 salary range of £51-65,000
