Position Overview
As part of our growth initiative, the Identity Team within Customer APIs is seeking a Product Manager to collaborate with engineering teams, guiding strategy and shaping the roadmap with a focus on technical outcomes.
The Customer Identity domain is crucial for authenticating and facilitating access to the extensive range of Tesco services, enhancing value across various Product Areas and our Retail Platform. This role may involve overseeing projects such as the development of a microservice for secure customer credential storage or leading a public cloud migration initiative.
You will bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and staying informed about trends and innovations that could enhance the Identity API, which manages billions of authentications weekly.

Key Responsibilities
Engaging with a team of developers to drive value delivery Possessing strong technical acumen, particularly with APIs, Cloud Services, and Identity frameworks, ideally with an engineering background Leading development initiatives: crafting the overall strategy, defining and prioritizing business requirements, and collaborating with various business units to ensure alignment Working alongside other Product Managers, architects, and the development team to execute the roadmap using agile methodologies: prioritizing requirements, addressing development inquiries, and resolving challenges while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
Qualifications
Proven expertise in the relevant functional area or a complex domain Technical proficiency to influence and comprehend the solution context, assisting engineering in estimating work complexity Acknowledgment of the implications of technical debt and the benefits of tech upgrades, facilitating objective discussions with technology counterparts to prioritize during sprints A methodical and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities A proactive attitude and the ability to quickly learn new product areas or domains Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including crafting effective user stories and acceptance criteria
