We are seeking a Technical Sales Professional to join our team at Meridian Business Support Limited. This is a full-time, office-based position with a salary in the region of £35,000 + 5% company bonus.
As a Technical Sales Professional, you would be part of a sales team responsible for increasing product sales and making recommendations to existing clients and converting warm leads to new business. You would be paired with a knowledgeable and successful member of the team, and your geographic territory would be in the West of England. This role requires a consultative approach to the sales process, bringing a deep understanding of technical products and services to the table.
Our company is a small to medium-sized business that has experienced significant growth since the pandemic, and we are on target to double our revenue again this financial year. We are a friendly and sociable team that values diversity and welcomes individuals with the right skill set, attitude, and interest. Key Responsibilities:
  • Consultative selling to existing and potential customers, by qualifying sales leads (mostly warm not cold calls)
  • Providing sales information and demonstrations to customers
  • Organising quotations and samples/evaluations
  • Working as an equal team member to manage a geographical sales territory
Requirements:
  • A proven track record in B2B sales, preferably in the manufacturing sector (selling adhesives and/or equipment to end users is an advantage)
  • A Science, Engineering or Technology background with excellent aptitude for understanding technology
  • Excellent communication skills on all platforms and be comfortable with using the phone as a proactive sales tool
  • The ability to form and maintain professional relationships
  • A willingness and ability to learn about technical products with help and training from our onsite Learning and Development manager
