Escape Recruitment Services is collaborating with a manufacturing organization to find a skilled CMM Operator.
Position Overview
This position involves working within the final inspection division, utilizing calibrated mechanical measuring instruments alongside CMM measuring technology to ensure the quality of intricate products and manufactured components.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and validate incoming materials by verifying specifications, performing visual and measurement assessments, and rejecting materials that do not meet standards.
- Authorize finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement evaluations, and returning items for reprocessing as necessary.
- Record inspection outcomes by completing necessary reports and logs, summarizing rework and waste, and entering data into a quality management system.
- Maintain measurement equipment functionality by adhering to operating protocols, calibration standards, and initiating repair requests when needed.
Required Skills and Experience
Essential Qualifications:
- Proficient in the use of measurement tools such as height gauges, Go/No-go gauges, Vernier calipers, surface roughness testers, and other hand-held measuring devices.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Basic mathematical and computer skills.
- Understanding of engineering and CAD drawings.
Experience with Mitutoyo CMM and MCOSMOS programming is advantageous.
A minimum of two years' experience in a final inspection role is required.
