We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team at Breedon Group plc, a leading vertically-integrated construction materials group in Great Britain, Ireland, and the USA. As a Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our quarrying and surfacing products.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Conduct onsite and offsite materials testing to ensure compliance with quality standards
* Update electronic records with sample details and test results
* Maintain a safe and tidy workspace, ensuring the efficient running of the laboratory
* Calibrate testing equipment and prepare for inspections from independent accrediting bodies
* Investigate material-related complaints and provide suitable feedback and evidence

**Requirements:**

* Previous experience in sampling and testing of construction materials or transferable skills from other employment types
* Awareness of safe working practices on a construction site or production depot
* Willingness to be flexible in working pattern
* Physical ability to carry out sampling and handling of bulky materials
* Capacity to operate mechanical equipment such as an asphalt road coring drill
* Full driving licence and ability to operate a small-sized commercial van
