Senior Theatre Practitioner Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advanced care to patients with complex needs, demonstrating expertise and autonomy in practice.
  • Develop and maintain advanced clinical skills, specializing in areas that enhance overall proficiency and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Implement and promote evidence-based nursing and clinical practices, ensuring the team delivers exceptional care outcomes.
  • Lead the nursing team in coordinating efforts for theatre lists, delegating tasks and responsibilities as needed.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and expert within the multi-disciplinary team, providing guidance and support as required.
  • Communicate effectively with the staff team regarding patient care, ensuring seamless collaboration and coordination.
Requirements:
  • Proficient in scrubbing for a wide range of specialties, with a strong understanding of skill mix dynamics.
  • Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience, with at least 2 years of hands-on scrub experience.
  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) qualification, with completion of a recognized Peri Operative Course.
