DJS Business Development LTD T/A (Westwood Recruitment Ltd) is seeking a skilled Commercial Vehicle Field Service Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. This role will be home-based, with a focus on customer site-oriented work, requiring a location within the Luton area, north of the M25 corridor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough diagnostics and repairs at customer and third-party sites.
  • Perform major unit exchanges at designated locations, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Support Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) as required, and assist with new product introductions, driving business growth.
  • Collaborate with the sales team in the Commercial Vehicle department to enhance product awareness, share field service opportunities, and drive business expansion.
  • Provide technical support and advice to sales colleagues when necessary, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Work safely and professionally, adhering to relevant documentation and industry standards.
  • Submit all paperwork promptly upon assignment completion, and generate detailed engineering reports.
  • Monitor and control stock levels within individual depots, ensuring optimal inventory management.
  • Conduct regular stock takes in line with the annual plan, maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Use reporting procedures to provide feedback on quality-related issues observed during work assignments, driving continuous improvement.
  • Maintain all assigned training within PEP and iHasco up to date, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Professional Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Completed engineering apprenticeship as a minimum, with a level 5 qualification or higher preferred.
  • Background in field services and engineering, with a focus on commercial vehicles.
  • Experience with electric vehicles, with a strong understanding of their technical requirements.
  • Excellent diagnostic capabilities and IT skills, with proficiency in relevant software and tools.
  • Full UK driving license, with a clean driving record.
