We are collaborating with a prominent manufacturer and supplier within the packaging and labeling sectors as they seek to enhance their team of Field Service Engineers.
As a vital member of a team of specialists, you will be dedicated to upholding the highest standards, serving as the primary expert for on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of advanced equipment.
This position is essential in guaranteeing that customers experience minimal operational interruptions and receive top-tier technical assistance.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess in-depth knowledge of machinery utilized in the packaging sector at an advanced technical level (e.g., die cutters, folder gluers, foil stampers/embossers, laminators, coaters, gravure printers, flexographic presses, etc.), OR, be a field service engineer aiming to transition to a leading manufacturer.

Key Responsibilities

On-Site Service: Travel to client locations to execute installation, calibration, maintenance, and repairs on a range of state-of-the-art machinery.

Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve complex electromechanical issues, ensuring optimal machinery performance.

Customer Support: Deliver training and technical assistance to clients, ensuring they comprehend equipment operation and upkeep.

Documentation: Maintain precise service records, generate detailed reports, and communicate findings to both clients and the internal team.

Safety Compliance: Ensure all service operations comply with safety regulations and protocols.

Candidate Profile

Education: Degree or diploma in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline OR equivalent experience.

Experience: Prior experience in field service, preferably with machinery used in the print or packaging sectors.

Skills: Strong diagnostic skills, hands-on mechanical and electrical expertise, and proficiency in interpreting schematics and technical drawings.

Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight stays, to various client locations across the UK and occasionally further into Europe.

Communication: Exceptional customer service abilities with the capacity to convey technical issues to non-technical users.

Compensation & Benefits

A competitive salary commensurate with experience is available for this role, up to approximately £40,000, alongside benefits including a company vehicle, overtime compensated at an enhanced rate (calculated daily), 25 days of annual leave plus Bank Holidays, performance-related bonuses, enhanced pension contributions, and much more.
