VIQU Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Active Directory Architect to lead the transformation and modernization of their client's Active Directory (AD) environment.

This role will focus on ensuring the AD environment aligns with business goals and security requirements. The Architect will collaborate closely with existing Technical Engineers to continue delivering a wider AD remediation project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • AD Design & Modernization: Develop both high-level and detailed designs to enhance the Active Directory OU structure, emphasizing cloud modernization, business segmentation, and defining business-centric processes for asset management.
  • Migration Planning: Define and manage migration paths to implement new AD designs, ensuring minimal disruption to existing services.
  • Security Review & Enhancement: Review privileged access paths and AD delegation to ensure secure control over lateral movement and privilege elevation within the environment.
  • Group Policy Management: Assess existing Group Policy deployments, delivering updates to simplify, harden, and optimize controls according to best practices and emerging vulnerabilities.
  • Operational Risk Management: Lead efforts to improve the health and hygiene of Active Directory domains, addressing critical platform obsolescence through DFL/FFL upgrades
  • IAM Modernization: Support the strategic vision to modernize Identity and Access Management (IAM) within the organization.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the go-to expert for all aspects of Active Directory, including both on-premises AD and Entra ID, guiding the design, implementation, and maintenance of the infrastructure.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Produce detailed documentation of the existing AD environment, including forest structure, trust relationships, sites, services, configurations, and procedures.

This role will be predominantly remote with occasional ad hoc travel to London for meetings and workshops.
