About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Youth Development Mentor. As a key member of our KFCYF team, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of young people aged 8-19, and up to 25 depending on their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Delivery: Develop and implement high-quality programs that meet the needs of children, young people, and families, including direct and partnership delivery with third sector providers.
  • Program Development: Create and deliver engaging programs that promote the development of well-being, using a range of methods including sports, arts, cultural, and recreational activities.
  • Community Engagement: Build strong links with the local community, promote positive perceptions of children, young people, and their families, and identify and provide young people with appropriate information, support, and signposting.
  • Safeguarding: Ensure the safeguarding of all young people involved, including undertaking outreach work to maximize the reach of the program and target young people not currently engaging in our provision.
  • Leadership: Provide line management and supervision to delivery team members, follow KFCYF policy and procedures for health and safety, and complete risk assessments for the premises, activities, and services.
  • Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of attendance data and other information as required.
