Overview of the Service
We are looking for motivated and skilled team leaders who are passionate about Corporate Parenting to join the Permanence and Transition - Care Experienced Young People's service. This department focuses on supporting children in care and care experienced young individuals up to the age of 25.
Role Responsibilities
In this managerial role, you will guide your team of Personal Advisors in fostering enduring relationships with children and young people, empowering them to achieve their fullest potential. Being a collaborative team member with strong communication skills to engage with other professionals is crucial.
A comprehensive understanding of the laws and regulations governing children in care and care experienced young people is essential, ensuring your team adheres to these standards.
The position may involve occasional Court Work, aimed at securing permanence for our children and young people. Additionally, managing adolescent risk and possessing a solid grasp of contextual safeguarding practices is advantageous.
You will oversee the quality assurance of work and assist your team in delivering impactful services to the children and young people under their care.
Collaborating creatively with multi-disciplinary teams, you will address challenges and develop care plans for children in care and care leavers, ensuring that they have robust permanence plans that facilitate their journey through care.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Expertise in providing quality reflective supervision Experience in quality assurance of Care/Pathway Plans and driving these initiatives Familiarity with Court work (desirable but not mandatory) Skills in performance management Experience in chairing multi-agency meetings Proficiency in managing adolescent risk Knowledge of restorative approachesThe Service values candidates dedicated to enhancing the lives of children and young people and who exhibit behaviors that contribute positively to service advancement.
