We are seeking an experienced Attendance and Welfare Officer to join our team at Leeds Music Education Partnership. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting whole school attendance through a range of strategies and interventions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement attendance strategies to improve student engagement and attendance.
- Work with families and external agencies to provide support and guidance.
- Conduct home visits to engage with families and provide early intervention signposting.
- Collaborate with the Safeguarding Team to respond to and assist in implementing student and family engagement strategies.
- Provide persuasive and empowering support to families to overcome barriers to positive attendance patterns.
- Liaise with relevant agencies to improve access to statutory and voluntary services.
- Experience of working with young people in a variety of settings.
- Understanding of the barriers to learning and attending school.
- Ability to work preventatively and provide early intervention signposting.
- Full driving license and access to a vehicle for business use.
