Job Title: Management Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our Central Finance team at our Appleton Thorn site.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will support the central finance department in a variety of tasks such as journal posting and month end reconciliations, as well as business partnering cost centre owners and furthering their finance knowledge and education in a £600m business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare the financial reporting of central overhead cost centres, both profit and loss and balance sheet reporting
  • Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems and maintain up-to-date financial records.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgets.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative duties such as managing the central mailbox and responding to queries from the wider business
Requirements:
  • GCSEs including Maths and English at grade 5 or above are essential.
  • AAT Level 4 or equivalent essential.
  • Part qualified CIMA/ ACCA preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Full UK Driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
