Technical Support Specialist

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Technical Support Specialist to join our team. This position is well-suited for IT Support Engineers or Fire and Security Engineers aiming to transition into a support role. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will serve as the first point of contact for our clients, delivering technical support and ensuring the seamless operation of fire and security systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to clients via phone, email, and remote access.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fire and security systems.
  • Monitor system performance and escalate issues to second-line support when necessary.
  • Assist with the setup and configuration of fire and security systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with team members on special projects and initiatives.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on new technologies and systems.
  • Provide remote technical support, programming, and diagnostics of CCTV, Intruder & Access Control Systems.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience as a 1st Line Support Engineer or Fire and Security Engineer.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work a shift-based schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Basic understanding of fire and security systems is a plus, but not mandatory as training will be provided.
  • Familiarity with CCTV, Intruder, and Access Control Systems, but not mandatory as training will be provided.
  • Ability to pass a 5-year career background check.
  • Clean criminal record.
