Job Title: Head of Nature Discovery Centres

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our Nature Discovery Centres across Essex.

About the Role

The Head of Nature Discovery Centres will be responsible for the operation of our 11 Nature Discovery Centres at reserves across Essex.

The role will involve working closely with the Commercial Director, Cluster Managers, Central Operations Manager, and all Nature Discovery Centres staff to drive the successful operations of the Nature Discovery Centres.

A close relationship with the Conservation teams at the Nature Discovery Centres will also be essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the operation of the Nature Discovery Centres, ensuring they meet their objectives and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Director to develop and implement commercial strategies to generate income for the Trust.
  • Collaborate with the Cluster Managers and Central Operations Manager to ensure effective operational delivery.
  • Build relationships with the Conservation teams to ensure the Nature Discovery Centres are aligned with the Trust's conservation goals.
  • Develop and implement projects to improve the operations of the Nature Discovery Centres.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A track record in growing businesses in the hospitality and/or retail sector.
  • A focus on customer service and an entrepreneurial attitude.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • A full driver's license and use of a vehicle.
