About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Quality Assurance team at Gateway Qualifications. As Head of Quality and Standards, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the quality assurance strategy for regulated qualifications and unregulated products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead the quality assurance strategy for regulated qualifications and unregulated products.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Ofqual, Qualifications Wales, and QAA.
  • Lead the quality assurance team, inspiring and motivating them to deliver high-quality results.
  • Manage and lead a team of staff and associates, including Principal EQAs, Centre EQAs, and Subject Specialist EQAs.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including centres and learners, to ensure high-quality provision and compliance.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years' experience in a quality assurance function, preferably in an awarding organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, including Ofqual General Conditions of Recognition and Qualification Wales' Standard Conditions of Recognition.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience of managing and leading a team.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement.
