Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled Transportation Supervisor to join our team at Kier Group. As a key member of our Transportation team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effective planning, programming, and delivery of transportation services, achieving company and contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and year-on-year improvement of contract and scheme KPIs.
  • Managing change controls on site, with a focus on health and safety, pushing for zero accidents and environmental incidents.
  • Undertaking safety site inspections of all transportation-related works, working collaboratively with our Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Advisor to promote best practice across the contract.
  • Managing the career progression of site teams, ensuring training qualifications and competence requirements are in place and monitoring for all employees within the team.
  • Adhering to the CDM regulations 2015 principal contractor responsibilities and ensuring they are being carried out across all transportation-related works.

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid SMSTS or SSSTS certification and a LGV driving license.
  • Previous experience working on high-profile contracts within highways and traffic management, including knowledge of highways works and maintenance at a supervisory level.
  • Knowledge of fleet management and O License compliance.
