About the Role

As an Early Years Practitioner/Level 3, you will be responsible for working under the direction of the Play Leader to provide care and support to children and their families. Your duties will include:

  • Providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to play and learn
  • Assisting nursing staff in delivering safe quality care to children
  • Maintaining agreed standards of care and contributing to the monitoring and review of care plans
  • Working with and deputising for the Play Leader to ensure the care and education provided promotes health, growth, and development
  • Planning for age-appropriate accessible and individualised activities
  • Creating a safe, secure, and stimulating learning environment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 3 Early Years NVQ, BTEC, or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
  • Treats all children, young people, and families with dignity, respect, and understanding
  • Ability to work under supervision and recognise own limits
  • Ability to work constructively within a team
  • Demonstrates initiative, reliability, and a flexible approach to working
