We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Early Years Practitioner/Level 3 to join our team at James Hopkins Trust. As a key member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to life-limited and life-threatened children and their families.
About the RoleAs an Early Years Practitioner/Level 3, you will be responsible for working under the direction of the Play Leader to provide care and support to children and their families. Your duties will include:
- Providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to play and learn
- Assisting nursing staff in delivering safe quality care to children
- Maintaining agreed standards of care and contributing to the monitoring and review of care plans
- Working with and deputising for the Play Leader to ensure the care and education provided promotes health, growth, and development
- Planning for age-appropriate accessible and individualised activities
- Creating a safe, secure, and stimulating learning environment
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Level 3 Early Years NVQ, BTEC, or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
- Treats all children, young people, and families with dignity, respect, and understanding
- Ability to work under supervision and recognise own limits
- Ability to work constructively within a team
- Demonstrates initiative, reliability, and a flexible approach to working
