Early Years Practitioner/Level 3

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Early Years Practitioner/Level 3 to join our team at James Hopkins Trust. As a key member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to life-limited and life-threatened children and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Work under the direction of the Play Leader to oversee the daily operations of our Little Kites & Family Drop in Sessions (OFSTED EYFS approved).
- Assist nursing staff in delivering safe quality care to the children staying at Kites Corner.
- Contribute to the monitoring and review of care plans by communicating any changes to the child's care needs.
- Work with and deputise for the Play Leader to ensure the care and education we provide promotes health, growth and development.
- Plan for age-appropriate accessible/individualised activities.
- Create a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment.
- Recognise play is an important activity for all children and provide a stimulating and enjoyable environment for the children, appropriate to their developmental stage.
About Us
James Hopkins Trust is a registered charity providing free nursing respite care to hundreds of life-limited and life-threatened young children and their families. We are proud to have been able to provide this level of care, day and night, either in the family home or at Kites Corner, our multi-sensory respite centre and gardens.
Requirements
- Level 3 Early Years NVQ, BTEC or equivalent.
- Excellent interpersonal and team working skills.
- Treats all children, young people and families with dignity, respect and understanding.
- Ability to work under supervision and recognise own limits.
- Ability to work constructively within a team.
- Demonstrates initiative, reliability and a flexible approach to working.
