About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Early Years Practitioner to join our team at James Hopkins Trust. As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Play Leader to develop and implement engaging activities that promote the children's physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Assist nursing staff in delivering safe and quality care to the children, maintaining agreed standards of care and contributing to the monitoring and review of care plans.
  • Deputise for the Play Leader in their absence, ensuring the continuity of care and education.
  • Plan and prepare activities that are age-appropriate, accessible, and individualized to meet the needs of each child.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe, secure, and stimulating learning environment that promotes the children's potential.
  • Work collaboratively with the nursing team, families, and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children.

Requirements

  • Level 3 Early Years NVQ, BTEC, or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience of working with children aged 0-5 in a voluntary or paid capacity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team working skills, with the ability to work under supervision and recognize own limits.
  • Ability to work constructively within a team, demonstrating initiative, reliability, and a flexible approach to working.
