Job Title: Early Years Practitioner/Level 3

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Early Years Practitioner/Level 3 to join our team at James Hopkins Trust. As a key member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to life-limited and life-threatened children and their families.

About the Role

As an Early Years Practitioner/Level 3, you will be responsible for working under the direction of the Play Leader to provide care and support to children and their families. You will be required to work on a shift system basis to provide care for overnight and weekend respite sessions. You will also be responsible for planning activities, maintaining early years documentation, and deputising for the Play Leader in their absence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and their families
  • Work under the direction of the Play Leader to provide care and support to children and their families
  • Plan activities and maintain early years documentation
  • Deputise for the Play Leader in their absence
  • Contribute to the overall performance of the team by being a proactive and enthusiastic team member
Requirements
  • Level 3 Early Years NVQ, BTEC or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
  • Treats all children, young people, and families with dignity, respect, and understanding
  • Ability to work under supervision and recognise own limits
  • Ability to work constructively within a team
