Job OverviewTraffic Management Supervisor
Telent Technology Services Ltd is seeking a skilled Traffic Management Supervisor eager to embrace a new opportunity within our Traffic Management division, part of the broader Transport sector. We have an opening for a qualified individual to become a vital member of our expanding Traffic team based in Crawley.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Traffic Management Contract Manager with daily planning and allocation of Traffic Management Operatives.
  • Participate in site meetings with internal teams and contractors as necessary.
  • Conduct site audits as required.
  • Ensure the availability of adequate equipment and resources for current and upcoming tasks.
  • Adhere to Telent's Health & Safety policies and regulations.
  • Supervise Traffic Management Operatives both in the depot and on-site.
  • Implement Traffic Management for both scheduled and emergency operations.
  • Provide work instructions to team members.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and internal Health & Safety briefings to staff.
  • Occasionally participate in weekly on-call shifts.
  • Work according to defined scheme drawings in compliance with Sector 8 and the Red Book.
  • Perform basic sign-making and maintain cleanliness in the depot and on-site.
  • Oversee site maintenance, including battery replacements and site switches.
  • Execute permanent signal deactivations when necessary.
  • Assist installation teams on-site as required.
  • Help with loading and unloading equipment onto vehicles.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Possession of a valid and clean UK driving licence.
  • Certification in National Highways Sector Scheme (NHSS) M1, M2, M5, and M6.
  • Prior experience as a Traffic Management Operative or Supervisor on highways.
  • Strong people management skills, with the ability to handle conflicts and challenging situations.
  • Extensive experience in Traffic Management design and execution.
  • Familiarity with Chapter 8 (Sector 8) regulations.
