Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Traffic Signal Project Manager to join our team at Yunex Traffic. As a key member of our Services team, you will be responsible for managing multiple service contracts and projects, ranging from £10K to £500K in value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of Traffic Signal Installation schemes across the region, ensuring timely completion and adherence to contractual and customer expectations.
  • Lead a medium-sized team of 'on Street' operatives and supervisors, focusing on Health, Safety, and Quality objectives.
  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of team activities, ensuring efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Collaborate with contractors and supply chain partners to optimize service delivery and minimize financial risk.
  • Develop and implement performance management strategies to enhance team skills and capabilities.
  • Manage scheme costs and mitigate financial risk through proactive control of unbilled contract stock, non-conformance costs, and timely submission of applications and invoices.
  • Produce and manage monthly financial forecasts.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, including Tendering Managers, Regional Sales Managers, and Commercial partners.
  • Participate in business improvement initiatives and projects, both locally and nationally.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Project Management, preferably in the highways, traffic signals, or section 278 works sector.
  • Strong understanding of highways and traffic signal infrastructure, including construction drawings and permitting requirements.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Contract and commercial knowledge, with a good understanding of IT systems and software.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH certification in Health, Safety, and Environment.
