D requires support due to an eating disorder, emotionally unstable personality disorder (EUPD), and complex PTSD. She expresses a strong desire to engage in activities she enjoys, such as shopping and exploring new experiences. Your role will be instrumental in helping her regain confidence and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accompany D on outings to the community and facilitate her participation in enjoyable activities.
- Provide encouragement and support to foster her independence and build self-esteem.
- Develop a trusting and understanding relationship with D through open communication.
- Assist D in navigating the challenges associated with her conditions, demonstrating empathy and patience.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
We are looking for an individual who possesses:
- Experience supporting others, particularly those facing mental health challenges.
- A genuine desire to learn about eating disorders and mental health conditions.
- A kind and caring nature with a strong ability to empathize.
- Excellent communication skills to build confidence and promote independence.
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work purposes (mileage will be reimbursed).
Enhanced DBS clearance is essential for this role.
