We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paediatric Band 5 nurse to join our team at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to children and young people.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate Paediatric care for children and young people attending our Paediatric Assessment Unit.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of a high standard of holistic individualised nursing care.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the working environment and adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
- Participate in all relevant aspects of the Governance process.
- Continuously develop own capabilities and nursing knowledge in line with the trust's career pathway.
- Registered Nurse Child/Register Sick Children's Nurse.
- Recent experience of nursing in acute Paediatric Setting.
- Demonstrate knowledge of escalation and recognition of a sick deteriorating child.
- Organisation skills (including time management, prioritising own case load, initiative, escalation).
- Awareness of current Paediatric Nursing issues.
- Ability to discuss relevant aspects of Governance.
