Join Our Team as an Electrical Wind Turbine Technician

We are seeking skilled Electrical Technicians to become integral members of our Onshore Wind Turbine teams. This is a permanent position, and comprehensive training will be provided.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Conduct risk assessments, method statements, inspections, and repairs to uphold safety standards and ensure optimal turbine performance.
  • Receive thorough training from ENERCON to safely and efficiently climb wind turbines; physical fitness and the ability to work at heights are essential.
  • Work primarily within your designated geographical area, with occasional travel for training or to assist other teams.
  • Engage in troubleshooting and problem-solving to address diverse challenges daily.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols while participating in training sessions designed to enhance your safety.
  • Collaborate closely with the in-house technical team and service dispatch coordinator for on-site support and work scheduling.
  • All necessary tools, IT equipment, PPE, and essential parts will be provided, along with a team van for site travel.
  • At ENERCON, we aim to equip every technician with the skills needed to excel; you may also assist with mechanical tasks and receive training to become multi-skilled.
  • After completing essential training, you will engage with 35KV (high voltage) switching.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum SVQ/NVQ level 3 qualification in Electrical.
  • Completion of a time-served apprenticeship.
  • A strong passion for Wind Energy and a commitment to Health and Safety.
  • Proficient in IT, including Microsoft applications.
  • A proactive, motivated, and resourceful team player.
  • A willingness to learn and complete all relevant training and courses.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
  • Previous experience with turbines is advantageous.
  • A full, valid UK driving license is required.
