Job Overview

Astute People is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team in the wind energy sector. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our onshore wind turbines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing electrical fault-finding and diagnostics on onshore wind turbines to identify and rectify issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Installing and retrofitting key components as part of a planned maintenance schedule to ensure the continued operation of our turbines.
  • Identifying and reporting on recurring faults, suggesting improvements to our maintenance procedures and protocols.
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety measures while working at heights, including the use of personal protective equipment and following established safety protocols.
  • Climbing wind turbines and producing digital maintenance reports to document work completed and any issues encountered.
  • Assisting with mechanical issues and, if authorized, handling high-voltage duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 3 Electrical qualification and relevant industry experience.
  • Fault-finding and diagnostic experience, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and components.
  • Wind turbine experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided to ensure you have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform your duties effectively.
  • Reasonable fitness level for climbing turbines and a valid UK driving license.
