Join Our Team as an Electrical Wind Turbine Technician

We are seeking skilled Electrical Technicians to enhance our team of Onshore Wind Turbine Technicians. This is a permanent position, and comprehensive training will be provided.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Conduct risk assessments, method statements, inspections, and repairs to uphold safety standards and ensure optimal turbine performance.
  • Receive extensive training to safely and efficiently climb wind turbines; physical fitness and comfort working at heights are essential.
  • Primarily work within your designated area, with occasional travel for training or support as needed.
  • Engage in troubleshooting and problem-solving to address diverse challenges encountered daily.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and participate in training sessions designed to enhance your safety.
  • Collaborate closely with the in-house technical team and service dispatch coordinator for on-field support and work scheduling.
  • All necessary tools, IT equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), and essential parts will be supplied, along with a team vehicle for site travel.
  • At ENERCON, we aim to equip every technician with the skills and knowledge to excel; you may also assist with mechanical tasks and receive training to broaden your skill set.
  • Upon completing essential training, you will engage with 35KV (high voltage) switching.
Key Qualifications and Attributes:
  • Minimum SVQ/NVQ level 3 qualification in Electrical.
  • Completion of a time-served apprenticeship.
  • A strong interest in Wind Energy and a commitment to Health and Safety.
  • Proficient in IT, including Microsoft applications.
  • A proactive, motivated, and resourceful team player.
  • A willingness to learn and complete all necessary training and courses.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
  • Previous experience with turbines is advantageous.
  • A full, valid UK driving license is required.
