Join Our Team as an Electrical Wind Turbine Technician

We are seeking skilled Electrical Technicians to become part of our dedicated team focused on onshore wind turbine operations. This permanent position is based in a central location, with comprehensive training provided.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with your partner to conduct risk assessments, develop method statements, perform inspections, and execute repairs while upholding safety standards to ensure optimal turbine performance.
  • Receive thorough training to safely and efficiently access wind turbines; physical fitness and the ability to work at heights are essential.
  • Work primarily within your designated area, with occasional travel for training or to assist other teams as needed.
  • Face diverse challenges daily, requiring you to diagnose issues, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical problems.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and participate in training sessions designed to enhance your safety.
  • Maintain close communication with the technical support team and service dispatch coordinator to plan and execute your work schedule effectively.
  • All necessary tools, IT equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), and essential components will be supplied, along with a team vehicle for site visits.
  • At ENERCON, we are committed to equipping our technicians with the skills and knowledge to excel. You may also assist with mechanical tasks and receive training to broaden your skill set.
  • Upon completing essential training, you will engage in high voltage (35KV) switching operations.
Key Qualifications and Attributes:
  • Minimum SVQ/NVQ level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program.
  • A strong enthusiasm for wind energy and a commitment to health and safety.
  • Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • A proactive, motivated, and resourceful team player.
  • A willingness to learn and complete all necessary training and courses.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining high-quality work standards.
  • Previous experience with turbines is advantageous.
  • A valid UK driving license is required.
