Position Summary

We are pleased to announce a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and dynamic finance professional to become part of our team.

As a Finance Support Specialist, you will be a vital member of the finance department, delivering thorough and effective assistance across a variety of daily accounting functions. This includes tasks such as conducting monthly balance sheet reconciliations, managing the fixed asset registers, preparing statutory returns for local and international sales taxes, and performing regular control checks on key systems and reporting to ensure compliance with legal standards.

This role offers a unique chance for both seasoned professionals and those starting their careers in finance to gain exposure to diverse financial processes and avenues for personal and professional development.

We value work-life balance and provide a hybrid working model based at our office. Our team typically collaborates in the office 1-2 days each week, with Wednesdays designated as a key collaborative day for the Financial Reporting team.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in implementing the Finance strategy to enhance organisational performance. Oversee and finalize the monthly and annual financial accounting processes with a focus on precision. Play a crucial role in managing specific elements of the budget, including bank charges and depreciation. Ensure meticulous oversight of all financial transactions and tasks assigned by the Finance division, maintaining strict adherence to financial controls. Collaborate in the analysis and generation of metrics derived from organisational data to facilitate informed business decisions. Proactively identify and evaluate emerging financial risks and issues from business operations, ensuring timely management and resolution.

Ideal Candidate Profile

AAT qualification (or equivalent). Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Proactive approach to work responsibilities. Proficient IT skills, particularly in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Strong analytical capabilities. (Desirable) Experience in the service industry. (Desirable) Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., CODA).
