Job Overview

We are thrilled to present an opportunity for a driven and detail-oriented finance professional to become a vital part of our finance team in Leeds.


As a Finance Support Specialist, you will be essential in delivering comprehensive and effective assistance across various facets of daily accounting operations. Your responsibilities will include conducting monthly balance sheet reconciliations, managing the fixed asset registers, preparing statutory returns for both local and international sales taxes, and performing regular control checks to ensure compliance with legal standards.


This role offers a unique chance for both seasoned professionals and those beginning their careers in finance to gain exposure to diverse financial processes and avenues for personal and professional development.

Our team typically collaborates in the office 1-2 days a week, with Wednesdays designated as a key day for teamwork within the Financial Reporting team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in implementing the financial strategy to enhance organisational success.
  • Oversee and finalize the monthly and annual financial accounting processes with precision.
  • Play a key role in managing specific components of the budget, including bank charges and depreciation.
  • Ensure meticulous management of all financial transactions and tasks requested by the finance division, adhering to strict compliance with financial controls.
  • Collaborate in the analysis and production of metrics derived from organisational data to support informed business decisions.
  • Proactively monitor and assess emerging financial risks and issues, ensuring timely response and management.
The Ideal Candidate
  • AAT qualification (or equivalent).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A proactive approach to work duties.
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
