Job Summary

This is a part-time position on an annual hours contract. As a Visitor Centre Team Member, you will host brand experiences, including tours of the distillery and tastings, delivering information confidently to guests. You will be part of a small team and must be willing to take on a number of tasks and duties, including working in each area of the visitor centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcoming Guests: Welcome guests to The Glendronach in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Hosting Tours: Host tours of the production areas and warehousing, providing a unique and engaging experience for guests.
  • Whisky Tasting: Confidently present whisky tastings, showcasing the company's products and expertise.
  • Sales and Service: Promote the sale of our products to guests, including whisky and branded items, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Bar Operations: Prepare and serve drinks, including cocktails, coffee, and soft drinks, behind the bar.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with daily checks and requirements, and drive safety initiatives to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work collaboratively with the team to achieve goals, and communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Uniform and Appearance: Ensure uniform application and consistency of Company policies and procedures, and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Ensure the Homeplace is kept clean, tidy, and free from hazards at all times.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Experience: Face-to-face customer service or retail experience is required.
  • Language Skills: Must be fluent in English.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Time Management: Strong time management and organisational skills are required to prioritise tasks and manage a busy schedule.
  • Teamwork: Be a team player and able to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail is required to ensure accuracy and quality in all aspects of the role.
  • Flexibility: Must be willing to work a rotating schedule to cover a 7-day/week operation.
