Job Title: Visitor Centre Guide

This is a full-time position working up to 5 days a week on an annualized hours contract. This will include some weekends. Reporting to the Homeplace Supervisor, the Visitor Centre Team Member will host brand experiences including tours of the distillery and tastings, delivering information confidently to guests of the homeplace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcoming guests to The Glendronach in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Hosting tours of the production areas and warehousing.
  • Confidently presenting whisky tastings.
  • Promoting the sale of our products to guests including whisky and branded items.
  • Preparing and serving drinks including cocktails, coffee, and soft drinks behind the bar.
  • Ensuring compliance with daily checks and requirements.
  • Ensuring uniform application and consistency of Company policies and procedures and developing good employee relations.
  • Ensuring the Homeplace is kept clean, tidy, and free from hazards at all times.
  • Driving safety initiatives. Ensuring that safe working conditions exist and that all programs and policies are effectively implemented and practiced.
  • Ensuring compliance with BF quality policies, standards, and systems.
  • May be required to represent the brand at events off property.
Requirements:
  • Face-to-face customer service or retail experience.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Confidence in dealing with people from all walks of life in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a methodical manner.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Team player.
  • Keen attention to detail, with a commitment to follow through and follow-up.
  • Willingness to work a rotating schedule to cover a 7-day/week operation.
