Position: Systems Business Analyst

Salary: Up to £35,000

Primary Responsibilities:

  • System Deployment and Upkeep: Manage the deployment and ongoing maintenance of business software systems to ensure they meet the organisation's requirements.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate closely with various business units and IT to convert business needs into technical specifications.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Formulate and enforce policies and procedures governing the use of business systems to guarantee data integrity and security.
  • Employee Training: Organise and facilitate training sessions for staff on new systems and software to promote effective usage and adoption.
  • Vendor Coordination: Assess and select vendors for business systems solutions, negotiate agreements, and manage ongoing relationships.
  • Problem Resolution: Lead the identification and resolution of system-related challenges to minimise disruption to business activities.
  • Post-Implementation Evaluation: Conduct evaluations following system implementations to measure the success of business systems projects and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Financial Oversight: Create and oversee the budget for business systems initiatives, encompassing software procurement, development, and personnel expenses.

Key Duties:

  • Business Analysis: Assess business requirements and devise solutions to fulfil those needs.
  • System Testing and Management: Test, implement, and maintain software applications and systems to improve business processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to analyse complex computer systems and individual requirements, and design and implement technology solutions.
  • System Administration: Manage the systems and tools, optimising their configuration for optimal performance.
  • Process Documentation: Document processes and provide training support on system usage.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in business systems management or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in budget management and vendor negotiations.
  • Proficiency in system testing and maintenance.
  • Ability to effectively translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Understanding of data integrity and security protocols.
