JOB OPPORTUNITY:
Temporary Credit Control Specialist

Join our client's energetic and engaging team as a Credit Control Specialist on a temporary basis for a minimum of three months.

This is a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate your outstanding credit control abilities and significantly contribute to our client's finance department.

There is potential for this role to be extended and possibly transition into a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the precise and timely issuance of invoices to both intercompany and external clients, including necessary updates to customer portals.
• Encourage prompt payment of invoices through effective dunning strategies.
• Follow up on overdue customer accounts for payment and maintain comprehensive records of communications.
• Collaborate with management and sales teams to escalate non-payment concerns.
• Maintain a customer 'stop' list and resolve disputes in a timely manner.
• Provide insightful analysis on monthly aged debtor reports.
• Review bank accounts for customer payments and allocate them accurately.
• Assist in reconciling intercompany balances and ensure adherence to credit management policies.
• Conduct credit limit assessments and gather necessary documentation for withholding tax.
• Clear blocked sales orders and perform additional tasks as required.

Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit control and Accounts Receivable within a large organization.
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables).
• Solid numeracy skills and understanding of accounting principles.
• Familiarity with VAT and knowledge of SAP is preferred.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
• Strong relationship-building skills both internally and externally.

Impact and Scope:

• Collaborate with senior management, fostering strong working relationships.
• Manage challenging customers who may resist payment.
• Promote a positive working atmosphere within the finance team.
• Partner with internal/external auditors and key business stakeholders.

Key Internal and External Relationships:

• Senior Sales & General Management.
• GL Accountants, Finance Managers, Financial Controllers, and Business Partners.
• Customers, banks, and credit agencies.
• Internal and External Auditors.
