Wholesale Credit Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Wholesale Credit Manager to join our team at THC Recruitment. As a key member of our corporate credit team, you will be responsible for managing credit risk on new and existing customers with large exposures.
Key Responsibilities:- Conducting Credit Reviews: Conduct thorough credit reviews on new and existing customers to assess their creditworthiness and identify potential risks.
- Spreading Customer Accounts: Spread customer accounts and obtain credit grades to ensure accurate risk assessment.
- Preparing Credit Reviews: Prepare written credit reviews for submission to credit approvers, including the Senior Credit Manager, Credit Director, or Credit Committees.
- Reviewing Credit Applications: Review credit application documents prepared by other credit managers and grant approvals within agreed mandates or decline/request further information as required.
- Ensuring Compliance: Ensure that in-house Credit Underwriting Guidelines are followed in the preparation of credit reviews and the management of customers and their data.
- Document Management: Ensure all relevant documentation is retained, and customer files are 'audit ready' at all times.
- Monitoring Customers: Monitor customers and respond appropriately to credit alerts.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in department planning and risk meetings to ensure timely compliance with the Corporate Credit Department's objectives and deadlines.
- Liaising with Departments: Liaise with the Dealer Finance and Sales Support departments on reviews in progress and administrative issues.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Interpretation of Financial Statements: Ability to interpret financial statements and make recommendations about credit limits and security.
- Corporate Credit Experience: Three or more years in a corporate credit evaluation role, with a personal mandate to approve credit limits.
- Unit Stocking Environment: Experience in a unit stocking environment would be an advantage.
