Key Responsibilities:
- Manage overdue accounts for both accounting and legal departments.
- Engage with clients and team members to address queries for prompt payment of outstanding invoices.
- Investigate and rectify any discrepancies or disputes related to invoicing.
- Conduct monthly reviews of debtors with all Partners.
- Review aged Work In Progress (WIP) with Partners quarterly.
- Utilize available software tools (e.g., Chaser) to enhance efficiency, particularly for repetitive tasks that can be automated.
- Calculate and issue interest invoices when applicable.
- Escalate debts as necessary, both internally at the Partner level and externally through court claims.
- Maintain precise records within financial systems.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on various queries.
- Familiarity with systems such as IRIS time and fees, Xero, and SOS legal is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Experience in credit control is advantageous, but a strong organizational skill set, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel are essential.
