Job Summary
The Northgate Medical Practice is seeking a skilled and dedicated Practice Nurse to join our primary healthcare team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients, working closely with our GPs and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care, including management of diabetic patients, respiratory management, and wound care.
- Conduct new patient medicals, urinalysis, and other diagnostic tests as required.
- Provide travel clinic services, including vaccinations and travel advice.
- Perform ECGs, peak flow readings, and spirometry tests.
- Conduct venepuncture and other blood tests as required.
- Manage hypertension and other chronic conditions.
- Provide routine immunizations and childhood immunizations.
- Request pathology tests, including urine culture and swabs.
- Participate in administrative systems and maintain accurate records.
- Attend practice meetings and contribute to team discussions.
- Undertake home visits as required.

The post-holder will be responsible for maintaining confidentiality and adhering to our practice's health and safety policies, including infection control and cleanliness protocols.
