Job Summary

The Northgate Medical Practice is seeking a skilled and dedicated Practice Nurse to join our primary healthcare team. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care, including management of diabetic patients, respiratory management, and wound care.
  • Conduct new patient medicals, urinalysis, and other diagnostic tests as required.
  • Provide travel clinic services, including vaccinations and health advice.
  • Perform ECGs, peak flow readings, and spirometry tests.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by GPs.
  • Participate in administrative systems and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with GPs and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of practice policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • NMC registration and a valid practicing certificate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of primary healthcare principles and practices.
