Deputy Manager Role Overview

Country Homes for Children Ltd is on the lookout for a committed Deputy Manager to oversee operations at a newly established residential facility. This full-time position is ideal for individuals with a background in child welfare, dedicated to providing exceptional support to young residents. Candidates should possess a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification and have a genuine enthusiasm for enhancing the lives of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee resource management to ensure a nurturing environment for young individuals
  • Guide the care team in delivering outstanding support services
  • Effectively manage risks in accordance with organizational protocols
  • Facilitate clear communication within the team and evaluate care strategies
  • Participate in ongoing training and attend team meetings
  • Advocate for the needs of young residents, employing positive reinforcement techniques
  • Assume managerial responsibilities in the absence of the Home Manager
  • Fulfill on-call responsibilities as necessary

Requirements:

  • Valid manual driving license
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • Aspiring to advance to a Registered Children's Home Manager role
  • Genuine passion for supporting children and young people
  • Strong teamwork capabilities
