Deputy Manager Role Overview

A reputable organization in the children's welfare sector is looking for a committed Deputy Manager for a newly established facility. This full-time position calls for an individual with a background in residential childcare to ensure exceptional care for young individuals. The successful applicant should possess a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification and have a genuine enthusiasm for aiding children and adolescents.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee resources to create a nurturing environment for young residents
  • Guide the team in providing outstanding care
  • Effectively manage risks in accordance with organizational protocols
  • Facilitate clear communication within the team and assess care strategies
  • Engage in necessary training and participate in team meetings
  • Advocate for young individuals and implement supportive strategies
  • Assume managerial duties in the absence of the Home Manager
  • Fulfill on-call responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

  • Valid manual driving license
  • Adaptable and willing to work varied shifts
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • Aim to progress towards a Registered Children's Home Manager role
  • Strong commitment to supporting children and young people
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
