Job Title: Senior Assistant Admin Support Practitioner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Assistant Admin Support Practitioner to join our team at the Transformation Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Radiotherapy Planning department, ensuring the smooth operation of our administrative services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and deliver a comprehensive administrative service to Radiotherapy Planning in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Work in line with the Trust values and professional policies/codes of conduct.
  • Prioritize demand, accommodate unplanned events, and work without direct supervision.

Requirements:

  • 5 GCSEs including A-C in Math and English, or equivalent.
  • NVQ Level 2-3 (Admin/Clerical skills), or demonstrable equivalent.
  • IT skills/qualification, i.e., European computer driving license, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable audio typing experience (Big Hand).

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of delivering a wide range of administrative and secretarial tasks to a high standard in a patient/service-focused environment.
  • Able to exercise own initiative and prioritize/manage own workload, without direct supervision.
  • Hospital information system experience, i.e., Knowledge & Experience with Patient Tracker Lists [PTL].
  • Understanding of scientific and medical terms.
  • High standard of literacy & numerical accuracy. Excellent attention to detail.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and able to manage unpredictable work demands, work patterns, and interruptions within the routine workday.
  • Able to deal with occasional distressing circumstances with patients and relatives.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well to people of all ages and types (empathy, compassion).
