Role Overview: Facilities Supervisor

The Facilities Supervisor in London will oversee all facets of operational contract execution, providing support to the onsite team regarding daily operations and the integrated management of both hard and soft services, financial oversight, and customer service delivery. Reporting to the Account Director, this role includes direct management responsibilities, performance evaluations, personal development, and providing support during absences to ensure consistent service delivery. The Facilities Supervisor will also serve as the primary escalation point for client concerns related to the London office.
Leading, mentoring, and supporting the onsite team while aligning with the client’s workplace strategy is essential for fulfilling our commitments to all stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

The Facilities Supervisor is accountable for the following typical responsibilities:

  • Exhibits strong leadership qualities, guiding and mentoring the JLL team to enhance engagement, customer service excellence, and client-aligned delivery across all service lines, thereby elevating standards for both team members and suppliers.
  • Maintains operational awareness and understanding of JLL’s service delivery and client requirements.
  • Facilitates the overall execution of Integrated Facilities Management operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, engineering services, legislative requirements, contractor management, sustainability initiatives, and driving innovation.
  • Ensures high levels of satisfaction among client users by promoting prompt responses and customer service-focused delivery.
  • Provides assistance to the onsite team regarding Building Management Systems, Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules, and quality compliance, supported by the JLL Account Leadership Team.
  • Acts as the primary contact for all facilities, project, fit-out, and crisis management activities, assisting Facilities Coordinators in delivering timely solutions and identifying potential obstacles.
  • Serves as the main liaison for local Facilities Coordinators and the client regarding service requests, ensuring all requests are addressed within agreed timeframes and performance metrics.
  • Develops a comprehensive understanding of the working relationship with landlords, managing agents, and local vendors to facilitate seamless service delivery.
  • Ensures alignment of standards concerning daily and periodic cleaning, maintenance schedules, event management, and logistical processes.
  • Communicates openly and transparently, tailoring messages to suit specific audiences and their needs.

  • Proven experience in supporting and leading site-based teams across various service lines.
  • Ability to work independently while driving positive outcomes.
  • Outgoing and enthusiastic, capable of engaging with all stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in contract and team management.
  • Strong capability in building and maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Experience in financial oversight and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and negotiation abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Technical background in engineering, preferably within building services and maintenance.
  • Ability to network across all organizational levels.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs are essential for this role.
  • Demonstrates initiative, confidence, and professionalism in all interactions.

Experience Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications or demonstrable experience in property management, facilities, operations, or engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a related role within a customer-facing environment.
  • Experience in a creative or social media environment is advantageous.
  • Must demonstrate flexibility regarding the types of tasks performed and availability as critical needs arise.
